Introduction to Business Improvement
ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management)
The ILM Level 2 Award in Introduction to Business Improvement aims to give practising team leaders a solid foundation for their formal development, and in particular to gain basic knowledge of business improvements techniques and business improvements skills.
Minimum 8 Credits
The qualification is made up of seven mandatory units. In the first unit, Business Improvements techniques, candidates look at the importance of quality and continuous improvement in an organisation with which they are familiar with. They also identify an area of improvements and suggest a method for improving the product, service or process identified including a cost benefit analysis. The remaining six mandatory units aim to develop a wide variety of related team leading skills including effective team working, health and safety in the workplace, satisfying customer requirements and methods of communicating in the workplace
Entry Requirements :
There are no formal entry requirements but participants will normally be either practising or potential team leaders with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
Progression :
Level 5 Certificate in business Support which aims to develop a broad base of business support skills, knowledge and understanding required by business advisors working in this sector.
